The Tombstone Epitaph

As a journalism undergraduate at the University of Arizona, Anthony and his fellow classmates learned first hand how to run a community paper in the spring semester of 2014. Under the guidance of UA professor and Arizona Daily Star reporter Cathalena Burch, Anthony gained first-hand experience in the newsroom. He learned how to identify newsworthiness, work with other news staff, copyedit and how to work with the community to find important and interesting stories.

It was a follow-up story on Jeremy, now known as Jake, of the Tombstone Small Animal Pet Shelter. It was a direct update from the new owner, Warren Noonan, explaining Jeremy’s happy tale. All photos accompanied to the story were photographed by Anthony Victor Reyes.

It was a profile story on a American Bulldog named Jeremy. It featured his experience at Tombstone Small Animal Shelter. This article features interviews with Elaine Perry and Carol McDonald. It was a profile story on a Jose Torres and his journey by foot from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean with his two mules. The story discusses how Torres accomplished this feat and also about his future plans for another adrenaline filled adventure. It also discusses his reasons for doing this trek.
